Palazzo Carmi - Parma, Italy

Palazzo Carmi - Parma, Italy

For the renovation of the video intercom system of Palazzo Carmi, a neoclassical building among the most valuable in the city of Parma, Urmet supplied its own 2Voice system devices.

Palazzo Carmi is developed on a complex plan, divided into several floors and divided into various rooms with different purposes and uses: from luxurious apartments to spaces used for events. As a result, the client requested devices that on the one hand have state-of-the-art technical performance and functionality to manage the complex system, on the other hand an antique aesthetic consistent with the external architectural style of the building.

The solution proposed and installed by Urmet focuses on the 2Voice system that allows the management and programming of the digital video intercom system in its complexity, thanks to multiple functions including double input and the possibility of intercom calls. The system is also recommended by professionals for renovations such as that of Palazzo Carmi, because it allows the creation of digital video door entry systems using existing cables.

Outside the building, 2 Prodel Exigo Digital push-button panels with Sinthesi S2 electronics have been installed: the alphanumeric keyboard, the audio and video units and the display are mounted on a personalised and custom-made front with a polished brass finish and a shaped profile, in line with the demand for an antique style.

About 40 monitors from the VOG, Voice or Gesture range have been installed inside the facility, which can be controlled through touch, voice or gestures:

  • VOG 7, with 7” touchscreen and integrated proprietary voice assistant;
  • VOG 5W, with 5” display equipped with soft-touch buttons on a single flat glass surface and integrated Wi-Fi connection for call forwarding on smartphones;
  • VOG 5, with 5” display equipped with soft-touch buttons and the presence of raised notches for the identification of buttons practical to the use of functions by the blind and visually impaired.
