For the B&B - holiday home ‘Stay in Sicily’, an accommodation facility for medium and long stays obtained from the renovation of an ancient building located in the historical centre of Catania, Urmet implemented the video intercom, access control, and video surveillance systems, and provided products from its switch system.
For the video intercom system, the 2Voice system was chosen, allowing the implementation of digital systems with many features, and it is particularly recommended for renovation projects due to the possibility of using pre-existing cables. Going into detail about the products, the Mìro door phone and the Mikra Plus video system base kit was installed, allowing the system to grow according to the needs of the building and activity and to be expanded with additional devices. The kit includes:
- Mikra Plus vandal-proof video panel for up to 4 users, with colour display;
- riser power supply unit;
- 4-user distributor.
To meet the need for a practical and effective access control system for the building, the GLT Perseo Card Code system was installed, allowing management of individual rooms and common areas in terms of both gate opening and load activation. The system uses numeric codes, keyboards with tags, and transponder cards, allowing guests to access their rooms and common areas without the need to download and use a dedicated app.
For the video surveillance system, 5M bullet and dome cameras from the Eco Building&Retail series were installed at strategic points inside and outside the building.
The plates from the Nea Flexa switch system by Simon Urmet, made of technopolymer, have enriched the interior spaces both functionally and aesthetically: the minimalist design of the lines together with the refinement of the finishes make the system suitable for different environments and styles of furnishings.
